My Contribution
Since this was my first game being assigned Project Lead, I was incredibly anxious to make sure that things ran smoothly among the art, design, programming, and sound teams. Unfortunately, after being sent home partway through the semester, that task became much harder, but our level designer, Rose van de Walle, was able to keep all of the teams updated with what needed to be done first. I learned so much from seeing how Rose handled communicating among teams, and I hope that I can put that to use on the next project I work on.
In terms of art, I worked on the player sprite, mimic chest enemy, and gave feedback for assets that other team members were working on. While I was able to improve my animating skills, some things that I want to work on are improving my workflow and figuring out how assets are implemented in Unity. There were some hiccups regarding the sizing of assets that didn't really get figured out until the last 2 weeks, which led to some artists having to resize many of their completed assets.
Overall, I'm extremely happy with how Flavor Knight turned out, especially given the extra challenges of having to work remotely.
